Victor Beltrame illustrations

In the majority of my work, I focus on the concept of the female lead character. I believe that our social construct has been exploiting the female image for centuries. My art is the opposite of most media’s representation of women, and I portray women as the smart, important and equal humans they are. I believe that we all have the capability and responsibility to do this.

In the work “Cyber Woman” I have placed the woman as the central axis of the image, with a focus on the head and face – concentrating on the ideas generated in her head.

In other illustrations, the female theme is hidden, more subtle or a language play. “The Tree: when translated into Portuguese (A Arvore) Becomes a female subject, and again a purposeful central element of the work
